About the Local Area Agreement (LAA)

Doncaster's LAA 2008-11 sets out the performance indicators (PIs) that the Council and its partners have agreed to focus on up until 31st March 2011. The following PIs are being used by the Council and its partners to monitor the progress they are making in delivering quality of life improvements in Doncaster:

  • 35 'Designated' PIs, chosen from a National Indicator Set introduced by the last Government

  • 20 Local PIs to reflect Doncaster's distictive challenges

  • 10 Statutory Department for Children, Schools and Families PIs

Please see below for all the PIs in the LAA:

The Council and its partners have agreed a new Borough Strategy for 2010 - 15. Consideration will now be given to the performance indicators which are required to monitor progress towards delivering the priorites in the new Borough Strategy.

In October 2010 the Government announced that from April 2011 councils are not required to prepare an LAA. They also annouced the replacement of the National Indicator Set with a single comprehensive list of all data they expect local government to provide to central government.
