Enterprising Doncaster
Enterprising Doncaster is a private-sector led partnership that takes a lead on steering the economic direction in Doncaster.
The Enterprising Doncaster Board is one of five sub Boards of Doncaster’s Local Strategic Partnership, the Discover the Spirit Board. The newly restructured private sector led board recognises the role the business community can play in influencing the development of Doncaster’s economic strategy and driving Doncaster’s future economic success.
The Enterprising Doncaster Board’s mission is;
“To understand and represent the needs of existing and potential businesses in the region in order to provide guidance to the DtS Board and associated partners as to where to direct their resources so as to achieve Doncaster's economic priorities and drive the economic success of the town”.
Following the overhaul and restructure of the Enterprise Doncaster Board, Jon Whiteley was appointed as Chair in December 2009 with Malcolm Cowing and Cameron McLellan appointed as Vice Chairs. Jon, Malcolm and Cameron are all representatives of the private sector with strong Doncaster connections.
