Enterprising Doncaster
Enterprising Doncaster is a private-sector led partnership that takes a lead on steering the economic direction in Doncaster.
The Enterprising Doncaster Board is one of five sub Boards of Doncaster’s Local Strategic Partnership, the Discover the Spirit Board. The newly restructured private sector led board recognises the role the business community can play in influencing the development of Doncaster’s economic strategy and driving Doncaster’s future economic success.
The Enterprising Doncaster Board’s mission is;
“To understand and represent the needs of existing and potential businesses in the region in order to provide guidance to the DtS Board and associated partners as to where to direct their resources so as to achieve Doncaster's economic priorities and drive the economic success of the town”.
The Enterprising Doncaster Board
The Board is made up of a chair and two Vice Chairs and broken down into eight thematic areas with members of the board acting as champions for each specific theme from Doncaster's Economic Strategy.
The Champions appinted are all experienced , knowledgeable business people with a passion and drive for Doncaster, to make it economically vibrant and a great place to do business. The Bopard's new terms of reference (TOR) have identified the role of a champion as:
Commitment to the effective delivery of Doncaster's Economic Strategy
Becoming an ambassador for Doncaster
Promoting best practice , joint working and positive collabaration with partners and stakeholders
Encouraging innovation and positive change within the theme
Developing effective relationships to ensure current issues and developments are understood

Consultative Fora
The consultative fora is made up of all members of Enterprising Doncaster, including a majority of private sector members, with representatives from public and voluntary sectors.
